***WARNING***
As much as I loved writing this novel-my very first-I have to be honest and admit that it may not be the greatest work of literature out there. But, even though it may not be the best, it holds a special place in my heart because it taught me so much about writing. If you're looking for a perfect example of what NOT to do when writing a story, then this book is definitely for you!
Ricci's life changes forever when a talking squirrel rescues him from certain death and whisks him away to a fascinating land filled with elves, dwarves, and faeries. King Florien, elf king of Trinnifain, insists Ricci live in his own personal villa in the treehouse city, and attend magic school with the elf children.
Ricci makes fast friends with Loreign, a surly elf, Banlin, a lanky dwarf, and Summer, a cheeky faerie, and together they learn not only magic, but other amazing skills such as how to ride fantasy creatures, how to control the elements, and how to fight with all types of weapons.
Disaster strikes when a thief steals one of the city's Protection Seeds. The Seeds are the only thing which prevents monster attacks, so the enchanted city will fall if the crook steals the remaining three.
But who is the thief? And what will it take to stop him?
Ricci bands together with his school friends-and enemies-to discover who the burglar is before he destroys those Ricci loves. But time is running short, and Ricci still has so much magic to learn.
