Everything you need in a book!

Ms. McClure has done it again! The Touch of Sage is a very entertaining read. If you are looking for a book with a fantastic cast of characters, handsome heroes, romance and adventure--then look no further. I really had a great time reading this book! I missed the characters when I was finished.

charming

This book has been added to my all time favorite list. I can read this book a million times and not get enough of it. The older ladies made me laugh harder than I have laughed in a long time. The silly situations they got themselves into were so hilarious. Don't plan on getting anything done while you are reading this book - I couldn't put it down and ignored cleaning my house until I finished it.

Sweet cowboy romance

From the back cover: After the death of her parents, Sage Willows had lovingly nurtured her younger sisters through childhood, seeing each one married and never resenting not finding herself a good man to settle down with. Yet, regret is different than resentment. Still, Sage found as much joy as a lonely young women could find, as proprietress of Willows' Boardinghouse -- finding some fulfillment in the companionship of the four beloved widow-women boarding with her. But when the devilishly handsome Rebel Lee Mitchell appeared on the boardinghouse step, Sage's contentment was lost forever. Dark, mysterious, and secretly wounded, Reb Mitchell instantly captured Sage's lonely heart. But the handsome cowboy, admired and coveted by every young, unmarried female in his path, seemed unobtainable to Sage Willows. How could a weathered, boardinghouse proprietress resigned to spinsterhood ever hope to capture the attention of such a man? And without him, would Sage Willows simply sink deeper into bleak loneliness -- tormented by the knowledge that the man of every woman's dreams could never be hers? My review: While not my very favorite Marcia story, this one is a really sweet story. Sage and Reb (great names, btw) are two hurting hearts that find love in each other. The gimicks of Sage's old lady friends are quite unbelievable, but good intentioned nonetheless. One thing is my sisters and I didn't like Reb's mustache, so I just imagine him without it - personal preference though! Love me some scruff, just not liking the nose hair. Other than that, I loved this touching romance with a lovely ending. :)
