Book Overview

HIGH PROTEIN + LOW FAT = TOTAL WELL-BEING The TOTAL WELLBEING DIET has been fully researched and developed by CSIRO, Australia's largest team of renowned scientists and nutrition experts. The diet is specially designed to provide not just weight loss, but also to protect and build the dieter's total health-so there is careful emphasis on including all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals needed for peak immune function, strong bones and high energy, as well as for avoiding long term diseases like diabetes, cancer, and cardio-vascular conditions. The eating plan is not based on complicated calorie counting, but instead uses a simple exchange system based on a daily allowance of servings in 5 basic food categories (protein, dairy, fruits & vegetables, breads & cereals and health fats.) The program's eating plan includes: - A wide and flexible variety of foods that leave the dieter feeling fully satisfied, never hungry and never subject to cravings. - The eating plan is flexible and allows the kind of variation (at restaurants, etc.) that makes a diet truly livable. - The book includes tools to help the dieter track daily servings (so they can easily adapt the menus for their personal use) and overall progress. - Includes a graduated exercise program, so that its recommendations are appropriate for dieters of all fitness levels. - Features 12 weeks of eating plans that include full daily menus. - Includes over 100 easy-to-prepare and delicious recipes, featuring adaptations of popular Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. - Beautifully illustrated with four-color photography, the book provides a spa-likereading experience.

Well researched, well presented book

with the plethora of diet books available, this one stands head and shoulders above the masses. Not because of a quirky title, or celebrity authors .... but because of the well researched, sensible approach to a lifestyle change. Accolades to the Australians ...

Excellent diet

My partner and I tried this diet shortly after moving to Australia. The mealplan is fairly easy to follow and we were able to find weekly shopping lists online which made it even more convenient. We liked some recipies so much, we continue to use them in our regular diet. I lost 34 lbs in the 12 weeks we were on the meal plan. The portions are usually quite filling. After a couple weeks off, we decided to try Book 2. Due to my disability, I wasn't able to do the exercise program that is included in that book, but I've had similar results in weight loss.

How to get the weight off, keep it off, and diet without complications.

Two doctors join forces to provide a high protein, low fat diet plan pairing medical insights with easy recipes. Many diets are complicated matters: not so the 'Total Wellbeing Diet': it's very simple and tells how to get the weight off, keep it off, and diet without complications. Diane C. If you like meat protein this is for you!

This is the only diet that has ever worked for me. I love vegetarian food, but would never feel satisfied. I have finally accepted the fact that I need protein, and meat protein to feel full and satisfied. This diet is perfect for me, and I think a lot of people. I followed it for 3 months (not totally strict either) and lost 20lbs. I am a mother of 2 young children and hated spending all my time thinking about meals, what I was going to cook for the girls, my Partner and myself. I was thrilled to see 12 weeks of menus set out for me so I didn't have to worry about what to cook again. It takes all the stress out of whether you are eating right and also portion sizes. I have adjusted a few recipes to suit my budget as I can't afford the expensive cuts of meat or fish. I know food in Australia is a lot cheaper especially the seafood. But with cheaper fish and maybe a steak rather than fillet steak, you can still have wonderful meals.

THE TOTAL WELLBEING DIET

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I HAVE TRIED EVERY DIET THERE IS AND THIS IS THE FIRST ONE THAT IS TOTALLY BALANCED, HAS GREAT TASTNG FOOD AND MY HUSBAND AND CHILDREN CAN EAT THIS FOOD AS WELL. THE MENUS ARE GREAT AND I LOVE THE GROCERY LIST, I'M ORDERING 4 MORE COPIES, WE'VE USED THE FIRST BOOK SO MUCH IT'S FALLING APART! THREE OF THE FOUR NEW BOOKS I'M GETTING AS GIFTS FOR FAMILY. THANK YOU FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL BOOK! I DON'T SEE THIS AS A DIET, BUT RATHER EATING HEALTHY.
