The Three Little Pigs Buy the White House

In the fine tradition of scorched earth, take no prisoners political satire, The Three Little Pigs Buy the White House pokes fun at a certain trio of Republican politicians who are living high on the hog. Watch out: these little pigs have no problem replacing brick with straw when it comes to your nation's security. And don't be afraid of the Big Bad Wolf, that is, if . . . uh . . . we can find him. Too sad, too true!

This is a case of preacher and choir in that I love anything that portrays our moron-in-chief as the idiot he is. This is a little more sinister than the usual bush-panning, but that makes it all the more credible. Too sad, too true!

Hilarious!

This book is great. It definitely sums up the situation and does so in a respectable manner. A friend brought a copy to work to share and I immediately had to buy one to share with my friends and family. I highly recommend getting a copy.

A charmingly hilarious parody

"The Three Little Pigs Buy The White House" is a tale of how the Bush team came to power and what they've done since written in the style of a children's book. The depictions of Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld, down to them telling Bush how to behave whenever there is a problem, is frighteningly accurate. The depiction of Osama as a Big Bad Wolf with his Winds of Mass Destruction is unnerving. It's the news of the past three years that you didn't get on TV condensed into a brief allegory.

Smart and sharp.

Piraro has hit a great peak with this book. Obviously he's twisted the "Three Little Pigs" tale into a modern allegory for the Bush II administration. But he's hit on something wickedly satirical. And damned if satire isn't what's missing from much of the American Left right now. Anyway, Piraro's caricatures, most notably of Condoleeza Rice, are hilarious. And his WMD ("Winds of Mass Destruction") will leave you belly laughing after you've closed the book. Good job, Dan.

Friends don't let friends vote Republican, not when THESE are the Republicans. Sad thing is, the book isn't exaggerating one bit. I loved this book and bought it on sight. Despite the cartoon facade, it offers a perfectly accurate peek inside how the George W Bush White House actually functions. I mean, does anyone really believe Cheney and Rumsfeld are not conniving masterminds in DC power seats, handing out deals for their business friends, like money, environmental excuses, and war crimes? It's no coincidence that Cheney's former company Haliburton got the billion-dollar contract to rebuild Iraq WITHOUT having to compete for the contractas federal law otherwise requires. Look at pics of Cheney or Rumsfeld-- never a smile, always a smirk. If anything, "The Three Little Pigs Buy the White House" is TOO SOFT ON W BUSH... contempt of proper governance and responsibility runs much deeper in the G W Bush White House than this book suggests (is second only to the corruption of the Reagan Administration; even Nixon wasn't this evil). Even so, I highly recommend "The Three Little Pigs Buy the White House." Buy it and give away copies to everyone you know. The only other book of this caliber is the (unfortunately) out-of-print "Tricky Dick and his Pals," 1974, which recounted the dizzy shenanigans of the Nixon White House throughout Watergate. Nixon got the reputation, but the Bush White House is worse. Oink.
