This book has a marvelous way of teaching and promoting effective parenting strategies. The book focuses on the importance of structure and consistency as well as maintaining a bond and having a close relationship with your child. The author offers a lot of insight around different discipline styles that could potentially negatively impact your relationship with your child and has realistic suggestions at ways of avoiding these dynamics. The book is written in a way that promotes parenting and therefore the author empowers parents. It is interesting to look at the use of natural consequences for effective discipline. This strategy eliminates power struggles and teaches children valuable lessons. Every parent needs to read this one!
