Phenomenal! Sobbed every chapter

This was a beautifully written book. It was interesting to read it from the eyes of a journalist who was at a lot of these difficult events, but it was also interesting to read from his civilian point of view. Understanding what veterans went and continue to go through is something no civilian, like myself, will ever understand no matter how much we read or talk about it. But, this did give a better insight into what these men and women go through and how it affects every single part of their life. I truly believe it's a must read for anyone who has a family, friend, partner, who is a veteran. The added footnotes with the youtube links to some of the interviews were so graphic, but necessary at truly displaying the picture of what soldiers go through. I'm grateful for all of the men and women who participated in telling their stories in this book.
