i first read this book in 10th grade. It's about a self conscious tall girl named stephanie. She has a project in her psychology class, that she does about love, since she has never had a serious relationship, she is curious about the mysterious emotion. Her best friend Amy falls in love with a mohawked biker, and stephanie doesn't understand, because amy is one of those really cute girls, who could get any guy she wanted. During interviews of several classmates, who have significant others, She is trying to get a general perception of what love really is, and amidst all this she reluctantly agrees to go on a double date with amy, her boyfriend, and his friend, a biker named "Bash" . Bash and stephanie have a strong attraction to each other. Since Bash is a biker, stephanie is kind of afraid of him, but she cant deny that she feels drawn to him, like he does her. stephanie finds out later that she actually has more in common with bash than she realizes. This is definitely a favorite. Ms conford, you should write a sequel to this story.

When reading this book I started to get bored, but when I got in the middle it was good. I think teens should read this book. Many of the young people today are looking for love. When they read this book they would understand love better. I feel that the teenagers today could relate to the characters in the book. This is a great book. Even though it might be old, it still relates to teens of today.
great book

I think The things I did for love is a great book. I enjoyed reading. It's about a girl named Stephanie who thinks she's too tall. Her best friend sets her up with Bash (a biker). They like each other alot. They have alot of problems but, at the end they stay together.
