I would have wanted to know more about the author and other books she has written to get a good idea of where she is coming from. This book is well-written and easily understood. Anyone can understand the words written in the book, and I recommend it! She goes from all the questions to going over the facts that come up in a teenagers life. It is an informative read and gives an accurate image of what is going on in many of our heads and those around us at this time.

A guide to how the human brain works and how to use this knowledge to change one's own personality

Award-winning author Dale Carlson presents The Teen Brain Book, a guide to how the human brain works and how to use this knowledge to change one's own personality and liberate one from suffering. Intended especially for ages twelve and up, The Teen Brain Book covers such topics as how learning and memory work, evolutionary psychology, tools for self-change, and more. In addition to the latest findings in science and psychology, The Teen Brain Book also offers insights into "the self", by claiming that the concept of a "self" is simply a powerful illusion of the brain, and explains the basics of meditation in a manner not unlike Buddhism (though The Teen Brain Book is emphatically not a Buddhist or religious book). Highly recommended for readers of all ages who desire to better understand how their own minds work.
