A delightful Regency set in London when women weren't supposed to be as independent as Miss Lila Appleby. She earned her living by teaching young ladies to behave properly in the ton. Her neighbor, Lord Whitfield, held rollicking parties which annoyed her yet intrigued her strong willed students. Strong characterization and fast paced plot make this a must read.
