First discovered asleep in the snow by the many gentle creatures who live deep in the forest, a very little boy with snow-white skin surprises his forest friends by waking up and working real magic... This description may be from another edition of this product.
My 4.5-year-old loves this. I got a copy (softcover) in the airport book shop in Glasgow on business, and it became her instant favorite bed time story. While I agree to a degree with the reviewer above that complains about too many unpolished points (the book reads, sometimes, like a trimmed-down version of a longer tale), there's still an absurd logic to the whole thing. And, frankly, if that leads to question and further story-telling after the book is done, all the better.

I purchased this book for my son who is 3 years and 4 months old. Although the book is aimed at ages 7 plus I thought this book was an excellent purchase and a fantastic book to read. My son was totally mesmerised by the illustrations and the story of the little boy in the enchanted forest and the goblins who wanted the magic for themselves. This must be one of the first books that has really captured his attention and his imagination. In the few hours that we have owned this book I must have read it a million times. This truely is a wonderful book for any child or parent to read.
