An important quick read for Christians

One of the problems found within the Christian circle today is that there is a detachment between Christianity today and Christianity as grounded in the First Century. This doesn't mean that the First Century church was "the" model for how churches could be and should be; simply because, if you look just at Acts, you would see that the church had as many highs as it had lows. And as the Jew/Gentile problem caused a greater widening between the people of Christ, the worse off the church became. The Gospel of reconciliation between God and man through Christ Jesus became, in a sense, if we take, say, the Letter to Romans as an example, a foundation for tug-of-war between the Jews and the Gentiles. Not that this wasn't an important problem that didn't need to be faced. In fact, it was something that both sides needed to realize and understand--again, as taking the Letter to Romans as an example of why Paul insisted on not only not giving up on the Jews, but also not ever giving up on the Gentiles. Hence the reason for the importance of books such as this, in today's world, in today's Christian society. The Tabernacle is one of the most important and clearest pictures of not only God but God's everlasting Kingdom across time and space and matter. The Tabernacle shows, and very powerfully at that, just what (through imagery and foundation and ceremony) it takes to bind God and man together. In a sense, the Tabernacle was one of the most important pictures of what we, whether we are Gentile Christians today or Messianic Christians today, see as Jesus Christ. Just as you cannot have the New Testament without the Old, that is you cannot have the NT and then reject the OT, so too you cannot have Jesus Christ without using such metaphors and similes as found in the Tabernacle. Of course many Christians who willingly love the Bible and the Jewish people still have trouble in this day and age in reading the Torah, the foundation of the Bible--starting in Genesis and going all the way through the Gospels and from the Gospels to Revelation. We read about the colors, the size, the shape, the texture, and so many times we get lost. We need a guide. We need a helping hand when reading about this all-important Tabernacle as found in the OT. Thus this book. Olford takes us step by step into the mystery and the beauty of the Tabernacle. The more we go into the Tabernacle, through Olford's help, the more we see and understand important Biblical truths such as God's might, God's rulership, God's creation, God's salvation, and God's judgment. Oldford explains colors, instruments, ways, reasons, and hows. So many of these would be lost if we were just trying, alone, to read the Old Testament's Torah. And yet...These are important principles that help us understand just how God has worked His way through human history from Creation to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, to the one day return of Jesus Christ. This is a small book and a cheep book. An e
