The Sweethearts' Knitting Club

I love this book, it's set in a country town in Texas. All about some women who love to knit and share their life. I absolutely loved it. The characters are great. beautiful love story and well written. I am a big fan of Lori's books and I am looking forward to more in this series! I highly recommend reading this.

Loved It!

My Thoughts: I have read a few of Lori's previous work and loved them so when I heard about this one, I knew I had to read it as soon as it was released. We meet Flynn who is an all around good nice girl who always puts everyone else first because she cares about people. She has turned down the sheriff's marriage proposal 4 times now because she still has a soft spot in her heart for another man (even though she tells herself this isn't why). Its been 10 years and as soon as she lays eyes on Jesse again, she gets that schoolgirl weak in the knees feeling he used to give her.Jesse is back in town, fresh out of prison for a crime he was innocent off, and he wants one thing, to get the girl he has been longing for back, and maybe even take down the real criminal in the process. I loved Jesse from that first paragraph. He is dangerous and sexy, even though really he's a softie. He was so sexy it gave me chills as I read about him. One thing that I especially liked was the way he called Flynn Dimples. Whoa Baby! I loved the knitting angle of this book, I loved the relationships, I loved Flynn and Jesse and wanted them together from the get go. This book was sweet and sexy and I loved it so much! I'm looking forward to reading The True Love Quilting Club which comes out in April 2010. This book is a must read if your a romance fan and ever think about that guy from 10 years ago, you know the one I'm talking about, the who got away. Overall: Loved Loved Loved Loved it!! Go get yourself a copy now! Don't wait, dive right into this one!

Loved it!

I think this is my favorite of all of Lori Wilde's books :) It is funny, sweet, and it's got a little suspense thrown in to make it interesting. But I really love the point of view of the male character being shown--it's such a great feeling to actually know what a man's thinking ;) Really a great story Lori! Thanks :)

Breathtaking

At first I thought this was going to be about a bunch of old ladies sitting in a circle knitting. True, there are old ladies and knitting involved but that is just a piece of the story. Flynn is not old and she doesn't know how to knit. Beau is her fiance, and he does not knit either. Jesse is an ex-con and Flynn's true love and trust me, knitting is not how he passed the time in prison. I found myself drawn to the romance between Flynn and Jesse. I thought Beau was a pushy cop who thought he could have whatever he wanted. He is constantly pushing Flynn to marry him and always backing her in a corner. I wanted to jump in the book and knock the crap out of him. Jesse was a pure Southern gentleman who may have been recently released from prison, but wanted to make a fresh start with Flynn. Whenever Jesse's dialogue came up, I could just picture him in my head with his southern accent. When a writer can describe a character with just what he is speaking, you know you have a new Bestselling Author! The author kept me glued to the pages, consumed by the passion and story that I never wanted it to end. It flowed great and was detailed perfectly. A new author for me that I will keep an eye on for new releases. Once again, BREATHTAKING!
