The Short Story Is Alive And Well

H. E. Francis' new collection of stories is wonderfully unique and intricate. Most impressive on Francis' list of impressive writerly capabilities is his energetic and complexly rich use of language. These are stories to savor not only for the storytelling which is phenomenal, but also for the language which rivals the best poetry in subtlety and beauty. I really can't praise this book enough.
