I thought this was a very short but excellent book to put things in focus. Its not like they have radical approaches, but putting EVERYTHINg that medical student go through in one short book and addressing each topic together is much better than the few ideas that you had form asking people when you were making your plans to go to med school. It includes study skills and time management, but adds stress management, ethics, and most importantly, information on HOW KNOWLEDGE IS MAINTAINED... this is a key difference from just some good study habits, they break down methods of active learning, something most of us aren't used to. I found this book incredibly helpful and a reference guide I will need to refer to constantly to keep me on track. Don't be fooled by its age, there are maybe one or two statments that are antiquated. Other than that, if you want to be successful, it will only take you a little time to read through this valuable book that could change your whole medical career. Don't just think you know it all already... you don't. I recommend trying this book, it may not work for everyone, but I'm sure it will be helpful to YOU beyond what you first thought. Its too short not to give it a try!
