a wonderful book

This is a straight ahead view of all the changes Vermont has gone through from long before mankind walked this planet through our native forbearers and the early European invaders to the present. Lots of facts, no specific axe to grind, just details on our forest, on agriculture, on industry, on our attitudes, drawn together in a way that gives you deep insight into how Vermont and Vermonters have adapted to many many changes. I highly recommend it.
