Bible story board books

I have bought quite a number of Bible board books by Patricia Pingry --and I like them all. I use them often for a preschool Sunday School class. They cover the basics of the story in easy-to-understand language and bright pictures.

Wonderful explanation

We bought this for our Sunday School class and it was wonderfully received by all kids from 2-6 years old. It allowed us to discuss each part of the prayer and what each part means. Nicely done!

Great Children's Bedtime Book!

My 2 year old daughter loves this book, and so do I! The pictures are the best part of the book. The story uses the Lord's prayer to follow a little girl through her day--from waking up, going to preschool, and going to bed--and each picture is full of toys and things any young child knows about and loves. My daughter points out and talks about the breakfast eggs and bacon, the playdough and finger paints, blocks, kitchen set, the big girl bed...basically all of her favorite things. Whether or not she is actually grasping the meaning of the prayer, she still loves to look at the book and she's hearing the prayer from me. It's a great start to understanding prayer!

Wonderful adaptation of prayer

This book gives a fabulous explanation of what The Lord's Prayer means and why we say it. This is a wonderful adaptation to help children understand easily the sometimes difficult terminology of the bible. By reading this book with our daughter, I began to look at The Lord's Prayer in a little different way. This book helped me to understand completely what each phrase of the prayer meant so when she wants to ask about it I will have better answers to give. The illustrations are beautiful and depict truthful, everyday images that children, as well as adults, can relate to. The printing and color of the lettering is easy to read, even in low light at bedtime. I make it a point to read "The Story of The Lord's Prayer" to our daughter at least once a week. I feel it is an important part of growing up, and this book will help our daughter learn it, and its meaning, at a much earlier age.
