I was looking for books about D-Day and found this book at the School Library. It interested me, because right now I'm studying World War I and World War II. It was a very good book, teaching me about what happened on Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944. I learned that the General of the German Army was Rommell and that June 6 was his wife's birthday as well. I also learned that over 4,000 boats, each carrying about 20 American Soldiers, brought their precious cargo to Pointe Do Hoc and Omaha, where about 55,000 lives were lost. The book helped me learn about this important day in American history. I give it a definite 5 stars!
