Simply written. Step by step. For someone who wants a basic understanding of the Bible, buy this book! I read my Bible but some confuses me, this simplifies it. Well written book!

THE Bible for brand new Believers

So many times, Seekers and New Believers are told to begin in John for a synopsis of the Bible. But the overall message that ALL of the Bible is a story of God's heart seeking the lost and bringing restoration is lost. This is like the Chronological Bible, but simpler. It is written in narrative style. If you want an amazing Bible study that will build faith and deepen understanding, then buy this inexpensive book used and give it away to everyone who expresses interest. Then, put a prayer bookmark in the prelude to the New Testament and have them beginning reading there. God's Word never returns void. Use this to build strong faith!

The Story, what a refreshing read

This is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the Bible characters and the timeline. It follows the lineage of Jesus. Must read for everyone.

The Story--A Good Way to Overview the Greatest Story Ever

The Story is a great way to get a feel for the overall story of the Bible, from beginning to end. Obviously not meant to be your primary study Bible, The Story instead is designed as a tool to help the newcomer to the Bible or one who merely wants to read it more like a novel to get a grasp on the essential storyline.

I would recommend this book to anyone, who's interested in reading the bible like a story. It would definitely hold your interest.

Best Chronological Bible I've seen

This is Today's New International Version of the Bible organized not by book and verse but as one seamless story from beginning to end. One of the difficulties for many people who study the Bible is the fact that it is not organized chronologically but the historical books often cover the same period (i.e. 2 Samuel and 1 Chronicles) or are organized by the length of the book (major prophets vs. minor prophets) or other ways. This is a unique way of presenting the complete Bible story that brings pattern and structure to all the disconnected stories we tend to learn in church. Others have taken the Bible and organized it into chronological order before but generally they have produced a paraphrased story and not a translation. What makes this book unique is that they have retained the translation so it is still a good study Bible. I recommend The Story as the best chronological Bible available today because it stays as true as possible to being a translation that has just had the chapters and verses reorganized to make it a single story.
