This English program is wonderfully easy and teacher friendly. It is a thin book, only 122 pages so there is not a lot of review, but that is partly what makes it so good. I have used A Beka in the past and the A Beka has so much filler and review that it becomes monotonous. The catch with this program is that you, as the teacher, need to make sure your students fully grasp the concepts before moving on. They are: Modifiers Verb phrase Noun phrase Adjective clause Adverb clause Narration Description Exposition The paragragh The thing is that the lesson's emphasis is on USING the grammar learned for writing their own creative sentences. In other words, the grammar gets practical use in real, creative writing from the student. That is really what grammar should be about, learning it so you can write clearly and beautifully.
