Southwestern cooking is emphasized in this collection of 350 recipes. The cookbook contains an excellent game section, a wine guide, and 52 different menu suggestions. Bits of Houston's history and culture make this Star of Texas shine.
I have used this book so many times over the years, especially the Mexican Food section. Try Chicken Enchiladas with Tomatillo Sauce and Boo's Puerto Rican Flan ----Delicious!
A rising star!

Not as fancy as it's younger sister Stop and Smell the Rosemary, but still full of great recipes! Many many full menus in the front of the book, neat historical references to different parts of Houston, good tex mex section; good game recipes and seafood recipes. Really a great book and a great price!
