Great material, great photo reproduction.

This book is about railroads in U.S. life - the equipment, people, and facilities that served our country. It is not just another compilation of photos aimed at technology-nerds who count rivets and never seem to get enough locomotive photos. A great book that somewhow escaped my notice until 12 years after its publication (and I thought I already owned all the really good train books).
