The Moral Glory of the Lord Jesus Christ

It is the Moral Glory, or, as we speak, the character of the Lord Jesus, on which I meditate in these pages. All went up to God as a sacrifice of sweet savour. Every expression of Himself in every measure, however small, and in whatever relationship it was rendered, was incense. In His Person (but surely there only) man was reconciled to God. In Him God recovered His complacency in man, and that too with unspeakable gain; for in Jesus, man is more to God than He would have been in an eternity of Adam innocency. But in this Meditation on the Moral Glory of the Lord Jesus, it is most surely but a small part of that wondrous subject I affect to have reached. I may give occasion to fruitful thoughts in the souls of others, and that will be good. The Lord's Person I assume -- God and man in one Christ. His Work I also assume; that suffering service, or blood-shedding, accomplished on the Cross, whereby reconciliation is perfected, and wherein it is preached for the acceptance and joy of faith.

The Age of Innocence

I thought this was by far and away the funniest book I have ever read. It was sophmoric, innane, outragous, predictable, and above all hilarious. In short a complete waste of time. Just when you think the plot could not get more disgusting it does. I highly recommend it.

Sick and outrageously funny

Chris Miller has a knack for capturing the spirit of a time, and his book marvelously recreates the Dartmouth of the '60s and his journey from high school into college and then into the fraternity. His flair for the comic and the bizarre is at its peak as he recounts the exploits of his years in Alpha Delta Phi. The characters in the book -- or, rather, Chris' real fraternity brothers -- are a wild collection, sure to amaze...

Time Machine

As a Sigma Chi this book transported me back in time. A fraternity truly is the best part of the college experience. The trials, adventures, and characters can be found on many campuses around this country. Sure the dark underbelly of wild chaotic houses is exposed, but such is th time to sow your wild oats. This book had me rolling the entire time I was reading it. The imagery transported me to dark rank basement...

Much better than I expected

When I considered buying this book, I thought, "How many times can Animal House be re-told, or revisited?" Thankfully, at least one more time. This is a great, quick book to read, but it's not for squeamish or easily offended readers. But how many of those folks are reading books about Animal House? The first thing I can recall reading by Chris Miller was a story in the National Lampoon back in the mid-70s titled "A Thanksgiving...
