DVDs skip, hang up or won't play

Out of 5 DVDs in the whole season disk 4 won't even load. On disk 1 it skips the first episode complete. Then it plays half way into episode 2. Disk 2 played but it skipped at different times in some episodes but doable. Disk 3 was fine. Disk 5 skipped the. Hung up on the LAST EPISODE! I had to rent it from the library. (So gross) I will never buy a DVD or a game from here. The books are fine though.
