Awesome Read--My Family is Hooked!

I really enjoyed the Sons of Maeve Trilogy. I was hooked on Than's character right away. The adventures were compelling and exciting. The authors have a way of describing the scenes and characters where I felt like I was there. Definitely an adventurous read that I highly recommend. The stories are not only adventurous but rich in symbolism and hidden nuggets. There is something here for the younger and older reader. Great read to share as a family. I hope the authors continue with Than's character. My family would like to know what may happen next!

An excellent story--I had trouble putting it down

This is a well told, fast paced story that compells the reader forward by following the characters through a series of adventures and disasters. The style of story telling reminds me of Edgar Rice Burroughs--characters moving from one adventure to another almost without pause, so that you can't put the book down until you know what happens next. The world in which the story is set is always vivid, and wild--inhabited by creatures and people that are somehow larger than life. The main characters survive in this world due to their own strength, cunning, creativity, and often the hospitality of other people they encounter. But perhaps unlike Burroughs, I identified strongly with the main characters as regular people. They joked and argued and made bad decisions and were afraid and got depressed and jealous. They even occasionally had to go to the bathroom. As for misspellings and homophones seen by a previous reviewer, according to the forward, these have been fixed for the 2nd edition. I can't say enough about this book, and I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you're like me you'll start it over the weekend, and not be able to do anything else until you've finished, and it will have been a worthwhile experience.

3 Books in 1 - Cool!!

I got this book for my birthday. Wow! I've already read it 3 times. It's so fast and easy to read, and I just can't put it down. I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens. While I'm waiting, I'll read these first 3 a couple more times!!

This Book Rocks!

I just got my hands on this book - 3 books really - and I couldn't stop reading! I can't wait for book 4. This book is great. The characters engaged my imagination and I quickly cared about them and what might happen to them. The story is the kind of adventure I love getting lost in. This is a fast read that kept me on the edge of my seat!
