This is a beautiful, peaceful book that reflects the love Saint Francis of Assisi had for all living

Francis was a gentle monk who was "so filled with the love of God that he wanted to sing, to tell everyone how much God loved them." He looked to the sky, he looked contemplatively down to the ground and when he glanced upward he saw a little winged angel. Apart and aside from this little angel, who never seemed to leave his side, there was no one else around. It was kind of a lonesome life to lead, but the angel told him that he should sing because his voice would be heard. Surely the "loving God" would hear him. Francis spread his arms, pursed his lips and began to sing. The ever shining Brother Sun and soulful Sister Moon moved in turn across the sky to listen to Francis sing. He lifted his hand toward a white bird and sang, "Birds of the air, come and bless the Lord, because the Lord loves you." Birds of all colors began to fill the sky, joining one another in a tree to join him in song. The sounds and sights were so enchanting that even the "angels came to see and listen." The birds and the angels filled the sky underneath the sun and the moon in their turns as Francis lifted his arms to the skies in song and prayer. As with all things, it becomes quiet and it is time for Sister Moon to come out again . . . This is a beautiful, peaceful book that reflects the love Saint Francis of Assisi had for all living creatures, including little children. The illustrations are very colorful, vibrant and capture the joyful spirit of the book. It is an unusual book in that is just radiates God's love, something I feel the author wanted to impart to the reader. This lovely little book would be a perfect cuddle up, bedtime book that many will want to read just before tucking their little one into bed. Look, here comes Sister Moon . . .
