Very Good! Your book is suspenseful, historical and very readable. Also kept you on the edge of your seat and was easy to keep track of the characters. Can't wait for the next book!

This was a very interesting and unique story. I liked the way the Author weaved a present day detective mystery with some very unique and little known facts of the American Revolution. The Author has a way of making each scene very vivid and descriptive. It's a real page turner and hard to put down.

Here's a synopsis:

A black teenager from a Chicago ghetto flees for his life when he witnesses a murder. A crooked cop is in hot in pursuit as the young lad seeks refuge in New Orleans. A chance encounter brings him together with Ola Quimby, the healer of the Great Cypress Swamp. She tells him stories of her ancestors and how the fought in the American Revolution. PUZZLE: Blacks fought on both sides: Why did they support both the British and American forces? What were the Promises? Read The Song of Babalowa and find out.
