A book with incredible imagrey and compelling characters

This book is a compelling story with characters that literally come alive off the pages. I had a hard time putting it down. The story draws you in as you see the main character overcome adversity and find herself grow in the midst of lifes challenges. This book has a great spiritual message.Pick it up and start reading you wont be sorry !!

The Song My Soul Remembers by Jo Williams is a compelling novel about love, happiness, grief, and the journey through womanhood. Mayeve is a young woman living in the fifties in a small Southern town who ekes her way amidst stone-walled, stiff-upper-lip neighbors, until a star-crossed love affair with the Champ (a black youth) changes her life forever. Life altering read!

This book had me joyously laughing almost every other page, yet had some very moving moments as well. This book keeps you hooked until the end. You can't help but think about your own life and spirit while reading this book.

Exciting, Enlightening

THE SONG MY SOUL REMEMBERS is a novel that reads like a diary -- honest, illuminating, and with real life lessons within. It's also a page-turner! Essentially, this book is a novel about the emotional and spiritual journey of a Southern woman, and yet it is also a book that shows how to bring about positive changes in life, and the path to spiritual awakening. It gave me much food for thought, and I'm glad I read it.

This book is the living proof of how you grow in life. What leads you to make the decisions that you make and even sometimes when you screw up recognize and continue on. To know that their is faith and to watch another grow is amazing!...LOVE THE BOOK
