After so many years, I still remember this book. I must have read it in 1983. Much better than Nancy Drew or the boring Hardy Boys. This book is a little gem and Kay does not work on sudden "hunches" of Nancy Drew - a most irritating trait. A must read to get that old world feeling!
Long Lost Book - Never Forgot!

I agree completely with the previous reviewer: "A reader from Mansfield, Ohio" I too read this book and the other Kay Tracey mysteries in my teen years. This lead character was far superior to Nancy Drew - she actually DID things! I hope to find good copies of the books to pass on to young friends now. I wish someone would re-publish this very early feminist series for teen girls!
Memorable Book.

I read this book MANY years ago, (first printing) and it is one of the rare books that I had actually read in my middle school years. It made an impression on me and I can only account this to excellent writing skills. Thank you for a great memory and hopefully I can find a copy of it.
