not for humorless poops

Sharp writing, fun story, charming sidelines about the creators. Definitely not a kids' book, if you take a very narrow view about what a kids' book is. Illustrations are not "accurate," however, this is not a textbook. On the whole, very worthwhile, destined to be a classic...

Expensive, but a great tale.

The tale of a crippled Captain. After being discharged from a war he sets off for a magical adventure of spells, sorcery, flying turtles, and love. He meets Doretta, who can flex her body into impossible contortions. It is a tale written in the style of the Brother's Grimm. A treat for children, as well as, adults. The book is one, I believe, children will keep on their bookshelves and read to their own children someday.

Majestic tale of a simple hero's journey into the fantastic.
