Hi! I'm a Freshmen student in Highschool and I just have to say that this is the first curriculum that has actually taught me how to diagram a sentence. When you first open this book it looks EXTREMELY scary, as it is all black and white, small print text. But its not scary at all!!! This method for learning grammar is way awesome! You use sentence flows (what is being said about (noun)?...) that guide you step by step through figuring out what part of speech the word is. I started this program in 8th grade and now I am pretty confident in my basic grammar skills, as where before I had no clue to what the difference between an adjective or adverb was, and had rarely ever heard of a prepositional phrase. This program builds you up slowly, so you get to the point where you could probably diagram any sentence with no problem! I greatly recommend that you get this book! It doesn't matter if you are a student buying it for your own personal use or a school buying it for a whole class...just get it! I'm buying for my own use at home. The one reason that I did not give this book five stars was because it might be tricky for the student(s) to catch on in the very beginning to this new system. It is very different than any other english book I have ever had. But once you finally catch on you pretty much understand everything in this textbook! well I hope this review was helpful to you! P.S. Have fun learning the "jingles"!
