Appropriate for preschool, kindergarten and early elementary. The SHARING CIRCLE is the basis for a developmentally appropriate program. It consists of broad, monthly themes for show-and-tell, and ideas for integrating the theme into the whole curriculum. Each monthly section includes objectives, a commentary, letters to parents, suggestions for activities (art and craft ideas, cooking projects, related songs and rhymes, and an extensive bibliography of related picture books. THE SHARING CIRCLE has had practical application in an operating preschool for many years, with great success. THE SHARING CIRCLE was featured in the July 1997 issue of Young Children.
