This is a book about a girl that gets into a lot of trouble and blames it on Trouble, her shadow. She says that is her shadow that makes her do naughty things like jump and puddle and through her homework everywhere. After a while she gets sick of Trouble and wants to get rid of her. She tries to get rid of her by burying her, and sending her away but none of these things work and she just gets more and more into trouble. She decides on a good way to get rid of Trouble. She sends her to the moon. She finally got rid of trouble. She didn't care what her punishment was all that matter was Trouble was gone for good. This is a really cute book. Matilda gets herself into trouble but blame it on her shadow although it really is her own fault. She learns that is not so fun to get into trouble because all that happens is you get punished and loss something. When she gets rid of Trouble she is so happy and is happy to except her punishment since she is done with getting into trouble one and for all. I think this really teaches kids that it's not fun to do bad things because of the fact that you just end up in trouble.
