It IS a really good book, don't get me wrong. Its a great "plane book", something to read at the beach or on vacation. The plot is a little weak at the end and, if you were born after 1980 or so, you may miss some of the references that make this book seem outdated at times. But, if you have never read V.C. Andrews OLD work before, this is DEFINATLY a good starter book. Everyone else: Get it for some light reading, GREAT concept and good twists, but watch out for some minor weak points.

This was the first suspense novel I ever read. I was intrigued by the synopsis on the back cover. I was looking for a book for a friend who loves this type of novel. She has read almost the entire V.C. Andrews series which includes "Flowers in the Attic." I knew this was just her cup of tea. I told her I wanted to read it after she got done. I loved all the plot twists and the ending was an absolute surprised. Well written. A must for any suspense library.
