This small book is full of good information on the devotion to OL of Sorrows. The meditations are very good and thought provoking. The meditations are not meant to be read as one is praying the chaplet. Read the mediations, mark points of interest to you and then review your highlighting before one or all of the sorrows. These meditations make the sorrows come alive in a much broader sense than a private thought or two on the sorrow would. Very enriching.
Uplifting and Inspirational

At times when sufferings seem too great to bear, a book such as Joel Giallanza's The Seven Sorrows of Mary can be a terrific resource. But I also find reading a book like this during times in my life when all is well to be a strengthening influence for the rough waters that may await me in the future. I found this book to be a very insightful and fresh look at Mary's persevering ways. I particularly enjoyed reflecting upon the meditations and questions that round out each chapter. This is my first experience reading a book by Brother Joel - I will definitely seek out more of his work in the future.
