An Easy Read of a Modern King Lear Tale!

The author, Christopher P. Andersen, did a superb job in writing this book which reads like an action packed thriller-suspense soap opera including the son who was raised by his grandmother as her adopted son from his older sister. The story takes place in both Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Naples, Florida. The main family are the Hitchcocks, not the movie director, but Harry and Charlotte who are the patriarch and matriarch of this wealthy family with two daughters, Margaret Benson and Janet Lee Murphy. Sadly, Margaret's older son, Steven for financial reasons and gain developed a bomb to kill his tyrannical mother, sister, and adoptive brother. His mother and adoptive brother died but his sister Carol Lynn was left damaged physically and would need plenty of surgeries to correct the damage inflicted upon her by own brother. Despite Margaret's dictatorial relationships with her sons' girlfriends, wives, and lovers, I found her to be a sad character because her father was always on business making money for his family. Mother Margaret and daughter Carol Lynn had a very close relationship.
