Full of great information -- a must have for everyone over 18

Why aren't we taught this info in school? I wish I had read this book before finishing high school. I am a college grad and consider myself fairly "financially literate," but I have learned a great deal of VERY useful information from this book. I recommend this for everyone. It is enjoyable to read and contains great tips. Braun Mincher's personal story is an added bonus -- amazing!

Seeks to teach readers what they are never taught by their schools or their parents

People as a whole go through life woefully uneducated about how to manage their money. "The Secrets of Money: A Guide for Everyone on Practical Financial Literacy" seeks to teach readers what they are never taught by their schools or their parents - basic financial literacy. Promoted as a guide that can help anyone manage their money better at any age, "The Secrets of Money: A Guide for Everyone on Practical Financial Literacy" lives up to that promise and more, filled with over four hundred pages of invaluable information. Recommended to almost everyone, but especially so to personal finance community library collections where it is sure to be a popular lend.

A MUST Have for Everyone!

After reading The Secrets of Money I firmly believe that every household should have a copy. This is the bible for all financially related topics spoken in laymen terms that everyone will understand. I thought I was well versed in Financial Literacy and then I began to unearth loads of "gold nuggets" of information that will help me make the best financially related decisions to propel me to success. Braun Mincher has a wonderful way of explaining everything from leasing or buying a car, all mortgage related items, credit card info and so much more. I will make sure that all my friends and family get this wonderful book for gifts.

So much valuable and user-friendly information

I found The Secrets of Money to be an excellent commonsense guide for dealing with everyday money matters. I agree with the author's assessment that The Secrets of Money is an fairly easy read, and doesn't require a PhD to understand. The Secrets of Money has 10 jam-packed chapters categorized for easy reference. Each chapter covers a multitude of subjects. For instance, --Chapter one, Consumer Credit, covers 32 subjects, like Credit Reports and their importance to you, to Identity Theft, how to avoid it and what to do if it happens to you. --Chapter 2: Real Estate Mortgages covers 38 subjects. This is important information everyone should know before purchasing a home. --Chapter 3: Property Leases, --Chapter 4: Buying and Selling Real Estate, --Chapter 5: Car Buying and Financing, --Chapter 6: Insurance, --Chapter 7: Taxes, --Chapter 8: Investing for the Future, --Chapter 9: Wills, Probate, & Prenuptials, and --Chapter 10: Your Keys to Financial Success. If you are looking for a gift that will keep on giving, I'd recommend The Secrets of Money. It's a one-size-fits-all kind of reference book, for no matter the age of the person, whether they're about to open their first checking account or are ready for retirement, they can find something to help them manage their money a little better, I know I did.

A great learning tool--recommended reading!

I'm amazed I really had things to learn! I consider myself pretty saavy when it comes to finances, but this book taught me things I hadn't considered before. It's easy to read and understand the concepts and I've learned there really are some secrets to money. I intend to make some changes as a result and I believe I will have more financial success in the future. Highly recommended reading and would be a great gift for grads!
