WWII was a technological war...

Many of the allies' actions were made possible by radar and countermeasures, artillery was made accurate with the radar proximity fuse, and torpedoes were made reliable with magnetic and other triggers. D Day was a truly electronic war, where technology was matched only by men's courage and the need to free the world of the Nazi menace. This is a great book, which includes information regarding the braking of codes, radar, sonar, and other contermeasures. An excellent read.
