An informative read that helps give some backstory to many of the events in the bigfoot world. I’d recommend this for a skeptic and a believer.
Great book!

I really enjoyed this book... it gave a lot of logical and interesting information, and presented many different Bigfoot experiences and viewpoints, with the reasoning behind each. Lots of nice photos (although not many pictures of Bigfoot), too. P.S. This book is great, but please keep in mind that it was published in 1960, so it is almost fifty years old, and thus some of the information in it may no longer be valid... for example, don't bother trying to call the "Bigfoot Research Center" by dialing the telephone number in The Dalles, Oregon that is listed in this book --- I already tried calling that number some years ago to ask about the latest findings or projects, and while it still was a real number in the area of The Dalles, it evidently was not the number for the Center anymore (if the Center even still exists)... when I called, I just got an answering machine message with a child saying something like, "Hi, we can't come to the phone right now; please leave a message", so the number is apparently just a private family residence now, not anything having to do with Bigfoot... hee hee, I wonder how many calls that family still gets per month from people wanting Bigfoot information?
Full Time Bigfoot Investigator presents evidence
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
This book was written in the mid 1970's by Peter Byrne a former big game hunter in Nepal. Mr Byrne was actively involved in investigating the Himalyan Yeti in the 1950's in the expeditions supported by oilman Tom Slick. After he retired from big game hunting and became a conservationist he again became interested in the reports of Bigfoot in the American Northwest and under a grant from the Academy of Applied Science began a full time investigation. He has reported and investigated numerous sightings that are presented in this volume. At the time this book was written, there was a base in The Dalles, Oregon that Mr Bryne worked out of pursuing his investigation. There was an information center and a newsletter published also at that time. This book is written from the viewpoint of an experienced animal tracker/hunter and the sightings are detailed. Mr Byrne was one of the few full time investigators who had some private financing to search full time. This book is a good edition to the library of anyone interested in this subject. This book is out of print, however it was a massed produced paperback and is obtainable.
