Thank you Dr. Nagler for your realistic, yet optimistic, messege

The Search for a nonviolent future is a book that opens the way for people belonging to the western, Judeo-Christian, war ridden world, to dare think differently. To change our axioms about indevidualds, cultures and countries and mostly about the solid conviction that violence is the only way.Reading the book I felt I discovered for the first time something I always new, somthing about moving forwards through compassion. I wish this book will be read by many many more.

The Best Book on Nonviolence

I teach a course on the History and Theory of Nonviolence, and this is the best book on nonviolence I have read. It confronts personal, social and political issues, asks important questions, such as whether nonviolence would have worked in Nazi Germany, and gives many wonderful examples of the successes of nonviolence. Its range is broad, but each chapter will make the reader think and perhaps change. I strongly recommend this book for those who want to start learning about nonviolence and for those who are already well versed in the field.

please read for all of our sakes!

This book changed my life for an infinite amount of positivity. I highly suggest it for people who would like to learn more about being a positive vehicle for change, and this book provides in the most logical and practical and spiritual of ways.

Peaceful

This book gives new hope to the future, where people realize war is not the answer. Especially wonderful is the underlying Christian thoughts, allowing the reader to go back to fundamental Christianity, where people considered the Ten Commandments ("Thou shalt not murder") literal, with no fine print attached.

Proves that nonviolence is the best response to violence

This is an excellent book for anyone who is trying to figure out the best way to respond to violence in a community. The author is an expert who has studied instances of violence in the United States and around the world, and whenever a group of people respond in a nonviolent way, they always succeed at stopping the violence. Highly recommended, especially in these times of terrorism, war, and crime.
