The Sea Beggars

This story is a wonderful and terrible insight into the terror of the Spanish inquisition in the Netherlands. The day to day living, dying, surviving and beliving of the characters is real enough to take your breath away. I have read this book again just recently and it was as compelling the second time as it was the first time. Truely wonderful as are all of Cecelia Hollands books.
