Scorecard: How to Fix Your Man in One Year Or Less

This book could be called: How to Fix Any Relationship in One Year or Less. There is something for everyone here whether one is male/female, dating, married, straight or gay. The advice/scorecard can be applied to any relationship that needs help, including parents/teens, friends, and coworkers. My husband and I read it and even though we've been married for many years we were motivated to make some changes. A friend said it helped her to clarify issues and make some tough decisions that were long overdue.

The Scorecard

What a great booK!! Great insite in to working together to solve problems as a couple. I loved the stories about each couple throughout the book and what they did to get back together!! Kudos to Julie Bell and Donna Brown for not giving up on their men!!

This book is a "MUST READ" for all married couples.

If only my husband and I had access to this book when we first got married; it would have been so much easier for us to develop the communication and financial skills that help make a good marriage. This blueprint is exceptionally easy to understand and the core messages are repeated enough throughout the book that you eventually memorize them. If you asked me to define the core messages that are the most important to me on a personal level, they would be "prioritize," "negotiate," "motivate." I find the examples that are sprinkled throughout the book on how to accomplish these objectives very helpful. The strength of this book though, is that it follows through with step-by-step instructions on how to communicate effectively, how to draw the family into acknowledging the importance of our priorities and care enough (motivation) to make them their priority as well. It's no wonder these two women are where they are in the corporate world. They are excellent communicators and teachers. Actually, this book should be in collage libraries to help prepare students for success in their future lives, whether they get married or remain single.

He may not get IT, but he'll get this

Hats off to Julie Bell and Donna Brown for writing a relationship book that even a guy could use (if he won't ask for directions, he's not going to say he likes it). You may not get him to own up to having a problem (the pride thing), but who cares if he will be part of the solution. This book will make sense to him and so there's a good chance he'll buy in. The real challenge might be in getting women to buy in to it, because it makes so much sense it may not "feel" just right. If you truly want to change and improve your marriage, The Scorecard, will help you do that better than most books I've read on relationships, even my own. I'm a guy and talk like a guy, but don't seem to offend women and wrote a relationship book entitled, The 6 Secrets of a Lasting Relationship, which was something for women to buy that guys would relate to (Chapter 1's opening line is: "Our sex life is dead"). It's a very good (well reviewed) read, but I think The Scorecard scores higher when it comes down to a step by step guide to transform your marriage.

Love it!

I've been reading it and can't put it down. I especially like the way that it tries to help resolve differences in a non-male bashing way. Scorecard is giving me new hope for my marriage. Thank you!
