His philosophy is at the essence of how we can attain real fulfilment and inner-peace doing what we love. This book will show you exactly how to control your thoughts so you can have the success you were created for. "You must get rid of the thought of competition. You are to create, not to compete for what is already created." "Get rich; that is the best way you can help the poor." "Do all the work you can do, every day, and do each piece of work in a perfectly successful manner; put the power of success, and the purpose to get rich, into everything that you do" "Success in life is becoming what you want to be." "A man's way of doing things is the direct result of the way he thinks about things." "To get rich, you need only to use your will power upon yourself." Excerpt from chapter 1 - The Right to be Rich Whatever may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich. No man can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of money; for to unfold the soul and to develop talent he must have many things to use, and he cannot have these things unless he has money to buy them with. A man develops in mind, soul, and body by making use of things, and society is so organized that man must have money in order to become the possessor of things; therefore, the basis of all advancement for man must be the science of getting rich. The object of all life is development; and everything that lives has an inalienable right to all the development it is capable of attaining. Man's right to life means his right to have the free and unrestricted use of all the things which may be necessary to his fullest mental, spiritual, and physical unfoldment; or, in other words, his right to be rich. In this book, I shall not speak of riches in a figurative way; to be really rich does not mean to be satisfied or contented with a little. No man ought to be satisfied with a little if he is capable of using and enjoying more.

Not my favorite finance book

Coming from the richest man who ever lived and the richest man in Babylon, this book just feels like a ramble of the same thing over and over, and I don’t feel like I’m learning anything or even understanding it. I really don’t see what the author is trying to get to me

More than Money

This book contains the very simple steps required to obtain everything your hearth desires; however simple; these steps are not easy and will demand hard work, dedication and an unwavering faith from anyone who decides to improve every aspect of his / her life. Read it and use it as described; it works.

just about what I wanted to read

This is a practical and ready to use book. The insight is great. This book summaries a lot of the knowledge I have been getting from different sources.

Excellent Presentation of Prosperity Principles

I was given this book many years ago but I never read it. Then one day I noticed a book I had written turned up on The Science of Getting Rich site as recommended reading. I visited the site and I was intrigued with this Wattles fellow so I pulled his little book off my shelf. I was perfectly astounded at the clarity and practicality of this man's presentation of prosperity principles. I don't think anyone has said it any better than Wallace Wattles. The language is a bit archaic, so I downloaded the book (there are many floating around out there) to update it for my own use. What a great experience this has been. I fully believe that anyone who grasps and practices the simple principles outlined in this book can accomplish anything they put their heart into. There are hundreds of how-to prosperity books out there, but this pristine presentation of principles has to be rated among the very best. J Douglas Bottorff, author of The Whisper of Pialigos

Good Things Come in Small Packages

This is one of those thin little books with heavy duty impact. Wattles gives simultaneously down-to-earth and heavenly instruction in how to get rich. He gives specific, step by step and easy to follow methods which when studied and applied consistently WILL help you become successful in any endeavor.I am committing, once again, to study a chapter of this book daily. Things always improve when I do exactly that. One of my friends said recently, "Everything I ever needed to know about life is contained in 'The Science of Getting Rich'"Its a great little book......

AWESOME!

A crystal clear look at truth. I would compare this gem to The Game of Life and How to Play It, by Scovel-Shinn (except that it's even better). It is a master piece written by someone who clearly understood (he passed away long ago) the reality behind the illusions of time and space. It could also be categorized as a "New Thought" book.WARNING... I understand that this title's copyright has expired, therefore there are others who have reprinted this book, making slight modifications that entitle them to add their name as a co-author. Don't go there. Don't let anyone else tell you what Mr. Wattles had to say, because he says it all so well himself in this true reprint!!!This is a MUST HAVE book!
