Great Reading

I throughly enjoyed this book. It is well written, good character development, good story line. My favorite part is the tolerance it teaches for all religions. It was hard to put down, I wanted to read it quickly, then like all great books, I didn't want it to end. I highly recommend it whether or not you know or care to know about Sathya Sai Baba. I had previously no interest in this Indian "Avatar", even when visiting India for 3 months. I'm sorry I didn't read this at that time as I would have certainly visited his ashram. This is a novel, part fiction, all entertaining. Enjoy it you will. Vivian.

A Must Read

I found this book to be excellent. It grasps your attention right from the start. Is a must for anyone that likes adventure and a captivating story. I liked it more than "The Celestine Prophecy", due to the fact that even though this book is fiction, the main character that it is based on is not. A must read in this age and time. "A rich spiritual journey into the core of truth"

The Sai prophecy spans generations and a myriad of exotic settings to chart the saga of the Hoffman family as they struggle against political intrigue and collapsing social structures, while engaging in deep spiritual connection with the Sai avatars of India. Surrendering to divine will, the search for truth and integrity, and the realization that all of the world's spiritual traditions are valid paths to God, are themes masterfully woven into the plot. This is an engaging and "hard to put down" read, which effected me profoundly and suggests some of the challenges and potential for growth that humanity will face in the new millennium.

An inspired, mystical, magical breath of life.

The very breath of life is in this book. It courses through your veins as you read the words that are capable of breathing life into you as you recognize the truths spoken in its story. The Sai Prophecy is not only inspired. It is magical, and it is mystical, for it has the power to renew and give life to its reader. Barbara Gardner has written a gift for those with eyes to see.

An incredible spiritual journey

I did not know what to expect when I saw the title of the book: The Sai Prophecy. I am not into prophecy, but the energy radiating from the book wouldn't let me put it down. I began reading the book while flying home from Denver, and became so caught up in the story I lost all sense of time. It drew me in, I became part of the story. The voices from the book became my family, my friends and my life. This exceptionally exciting, enthralling and highly spiritual book takes one through 160 years in the life of a family and their connection with a great spiritual teacher. The journey is one of self-acceptance of your own spiritual truths and ancestry. The story takes you through birth, life and death and the wondrous circular motion of how we are all interconnected and constantly connected with those that we love. I highly recommend it. - Jennifer Dumm, Director of Trans-Hyperborean Insitute of Science
