The Roots and Fruits of Fasting

I originally bought this book because the title was about fasting and I know I need my willpower increased. I had no idea that it would be such a good reference book! As I read over into the middle of the book I was Thrilled to find that she actually gave detailed information as to how to do different fasts in order to reach certain goals in dealing with health problems. I became convinced that this book is a must read for everyone non-Christians as well as Christians because it promotes good health by natural means! Dr. Swope shares God's wisdom in how to deal and/or heal many diseases by fasting. This is definitely not a book on starvation. She uses logical and reasonable means of detoxing our bodies without depleting our nutrients. This book dispells the idea that fasting is unhealthy and for fanatics. Dr. Swope's information is well supported by biblical scriptures and by medical doctors. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because she recommends a supplement called BarleyGreen. Since I have not tried this product, I won't endorse that part of the book. Overall I highly recommend this book to everyone. It incited me to begin fasting and educated me as to how to do it safely. Dr. Swope, Thanks so much for your book on fasting. It is a blessed resource!
