Fun little adventure story for Elementary school readers

I grew up on this book and loved the vivid descriptions of the cast of characters, ranging from sweet and unsuspecting (the grandmother) to shrewd but nice (Kaspar) to goofy but willingly helpful(Seppl). The storyline is quickly told: the robber Hotzenplotz has his eyes set on Granny's beautiful coffee grinder that plays a tune when coffee is ground. For some reason I forgot he ends up taking both Granny and coffee grinder and now enter Granny's grandson Kaspar and his slightly goofy friend Seppl who are called upon to free both Granny and her coffee grinder and bring the robber Hotzenplotz to justice. Very gentle read with a nice touch of suspense to keep young readers hanging on. I'm tickled that it is actually available in english and recommend it highly along with Mr. Preussler's other books.
