From Bella Coola to Williams Lake, there's a story with every turn in the road. If you haven't driven the "Hill" you have missed something important and unique. Diana French tells a good selection of stories, mostly first hand, in her book. The Chilcotin Country welcomes visitors and it's worth the effort to both travel the road and read the book. Actually, reading the book isn't an effort because French is a polished writer.
Fascinating!

This book is wonderful - full of details, names and places. Everyone from the area should own a copy. The author obviously did lots of research and it shows. I learned so much (and I was born in the neighbourhood!)
