Sex and Sensuality make for a better life

Gail Saltz, MD, in her newest book, so saliently makes the point that women carry within themselves the source of life and the capabilities to live life to the fullest. Women who understand themselves sexually and sensually and who exude the power that comes from that understanding --live life more fully, no matter their occupations or their marital or parental status. This type of woman has an aura of sensuality that stems from living life to the fullest. We've all seen the sort of woman who can walk into a room and pow! Everybody feels a pull toward her, a great gravitational tug. She has a presence. It doesn't have to emanate from her physical appearance. She might not be supermodel "beautiful" or have an hourglass figure. Her presence radiates from within. It comes not from how she looks but from how she is. She's confident. She's dynamic. Gail Saltz deftly helps the reader understand how sex and an embracement of one's sexuality can lead to a better life. And Saltz knows so well to use humor, via a number of New Yorker cartoons that illustrate her points, to get through a subject that might make some readers a bit uneasy - sex is still something many are not completely comfortable discussing. A must read for women who want to move towards a better life by embracing their sensuality and sexuality.

This book can change your life!

I am considered reasonably intelligent and attractive. Yet I never have felt fully "in tune" with myself as a woman, sexually and sensually. This book really spoke to me. Gail Saltz, in her easy to understand and entertaining style, discusses how so many women feel about themselves sexually and sensually and how this can "ripple" into all aspects of their lives. We are brought up thinking of ourselves in a certain way sexually- - that can carry over into all aspects of our lives as adult women, no matter how "accomplished" we may look to the outside world. My fears, guilts and anxieties about myself as a sexual being have held me back in so many ways. Ms. Saltz has helped me tremendously to look inside myself and to become aware of the things that are keeping me from having the life I want. After reading this book, I have begun to think of myself and my "power" as a woman in so many new and exciting ways. Even if you THINK that you are OK with yourself sexually, you will be surprised at how much you will gain from this book. I highly recommend it for all women who want their to feel happier and more complete in their lives.

The ripple effect.

This is an interesting read. It's about how your sexuality can have a ripple effect into other areas of your life. I thought it was an interesting concept and the auhtor did some good research into what effect this can have on women's lives. All in all, a good read that I would recommend to freinds, defintely.
