Jeffrey Ballon Jones is a spiky haired, overly energetic eleven-going-on-twelve- year-old who loves dance and soccer. He's a standout at his mom's dance studio and on the soccer team his dad helps coach. He has big dreams of being both a professional dancer and soccer player. Only his older sister Della and Lucy, a fellow dancer who knows just how to push Jeffrey's buttons, keep him grounded.

Just as Jeffrey is riding high as a dancer, aspiring choreographer and soccer player, a freak incident threatens to dash all of Jeffrey's big dreams.
