#1 Good, #2 Better, #3 Best So Far! Two Thumbs Way Up

Excellent third book and best so far book in this wonderful contemporary erotic vampire series. Erotic sensual heat, dry and droll humor, and intelligence in the characters and by the author. I am definitely hooked on this series and this author. Other reviewers have provided well written story summaries; I won't be redundant with too much detal. I loved the premise in the first book, "The Claim" and fell into the story line immediately. This third book is a continuation of the story from the first and second books. Ren Renfield is in charge of an organization and hundreds of billions of dollars he is using to integrate vampires into human every day life, while keeping the villians locked up or at bay or by getting rid of them. Ren's and Violet's son, Randall, "Dell" Renfield is 24 or 25, and is definitely his father's son, as he frequently states of himself. Dell, like his father, is everything you could want in an Alpha male vampire hero; sexy, very hot,and very intelligent. He also is a very strong Mage, and magic an intergal part of him. The author's web site has a free story "Its Magic" about a Halloween event Dell briefly recalls in this story at www.samanthasommersby.com/FreeReads/ItsMagic.html It takes Dell longer to sort out the reason for his need of and attraction to Alexandria, "Alex", who is really someone else we met in book two, than it took his father to decided about his mother. Dell is engaged in continued conflict about his youth and life time commitment, and sex versus love. His conflicts between his thinking head and "Mr Happy's" desires are hysterically funny at times. The tension and attraction between Dell and his HEA Alex is drawn in a way that keeps you wondering and interested. A really good, amazingly hot love story. Alex's character is also well drawn and developed. She, like Dells mother Violet, is an Alpha female. Alex more overtly and physically so. Alex and Dell balance each other in a more physical and action oriented way than do Ren and Violet whose connection is more mind action based. The cast of characters incorporated from Ren's and Violet's story, follow to this book, and new characters are added here, all of whom, one hopes, will be developed in future books. I downloaded all three books of the series on the same night from allromanceebooks.com and read all night. I cannot wait for the next, fourth book in the series. I am hoping for a long relationship with this series.

Agent and Vampire Randell Renfield is working undercover with his new partner Alexandria Sanchez in Las Vegas on a drug bust. Dell's father is the powerful vampire Byron Renfield who is staging a revolution to integrate humans with vampires. Byron believes that Alex is the long lost daughter of a friend. If she is, Dell has to bring her home. Almost immediately Dell feels drawn to Alex and her to him, but they have a job to do. Alex realizes Dell is different from any vampire she has ever known. Unfortunately, there is a protection spell on her that keeps her from acting on her feelings. As Dell and Alex fight their way back home, their love is put to the test. Forbidden: The Revolution is another exciting story in the Forbidden series. Along with terrific action is a fantastic love story. Forbidden: The Revolution is filled with magic, villains, romance and incredibly hot sex. I recommend reading the Forbidden series in order. Samantha Sommersby has created a fascinating and very cool world with this series. I'm looking forward to the next Forbidden story! Nannette reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

exciting erotic paranormal romantic suspense

Dominie Byron Renfield asks his preternatural Special Forces detective son Dell to learn whether police officer Alexandra Sanchez is the lost Chosen one stolen twenty-five years ago. He needs DNA to learn the truth and his offspring, still marveling how his dad arranged the transfer from Chicago to Los Angeles, promises he will obtain and send a sample. Dell and Alex are attracted to one another, which should make it easier to go undercover in Las Vegas as a couple to prove that casino owner Raif is laundering drug money. In Vegas they obtain work at Raif's casino, but Dell is stunned that the man is a vampire and holding Rita a sexual prisoner Rita who is a friend of his father. As the couple falls in love, she explains she remains a virgin because of a protective spell that does not allow anyone to mount her. FORBIDDEN THE REVOLUTION is an exciting erotic paranormal romantic suspense in which the story can stand alone though newcomers like this reviewer will seek the previous entry FORBIDDEN THE AWAKENING. After a great foreplay buildup, the Vegas escapade is blown away too easily ending without much of a climax except in the boudoir (even with the spell these are clever touches by Samantha Sommersby who keeps the heat on) and no closure to the drug ring. The return home is thrilling and complemented with a couple of terrific spins as the past comes home to roost. Sub-genre fans will appreciate Samantha Sommersby strong entry as a vampire who has never drank blood from a human jugular and the probable chosen one who remains a virgin due to a succubus' protection spell fall in love. You want a sexy vampire? Dell's the one for you!

If you're into extremely hot paranormal erotic/romance novels, this is definitely the book for you. I mean if the cover doesn't have you drooling already then I don't know what will! The plot is entertaining and suspensful, the characters are likeable, and it's filled with juicy sex scenes. Dell is a really hot lead, and you can't help but lust after him yourself. Dell and Alex both show vulnerability for eachother, and share the kind of love people only wish they could have. This was definitely an easy read, and I flew right through it. This is the third book in a series, but I was told by Samantha that it stands alone. And It does, but I still can't wait to start from the beginning just so I can have some more!

5 blue ribbons from Romance Junkies

Dell Renfield is in big trouble, Not the legal sort of trouble but woman trouble. Normally, finding a woman who turns him on isn't a big deal but Alex calls to him in a huge way. He finds himself wanting to `taste' her and as a vampire who has never drunk blood, the feelings she's arousing in him are disconcerting at best. To complicate matters even further, Alexandria is his main assignment. He's to obtain a sample of her DNA for testing. It's believed that she may be one of the Chosen. Special Agent Alexandria Sanchez is a no-nonsense kind of girl. She's focused on her job and isn't about to let anything get in the way of her very first assignment - including her new partner. She has no idea that he's a vampire or that she's his primary objective. What she does know is that her boyfriend isn't going to be pleased that she's leaving for Las Vegas with another man. During the early stages of the Revolution twenty-five years ago, a baby named Sophie was kidnapped and never found despite her and Dell's fathers' attempts at finding her all these years. There's a distinct possibility that Alex is that missing child, but before Dell can clue her into the situation or even determine if she truly is the missing Chosen they receive their first assignment. It has them posing as an engaged couple working for a nightclub believed to be a front to launder drug money. The last thing Dell expects is for their new boss, Raif, to be a vampire with an agenda and no qualms about whether his sexual conquests are male or female. Raif wants Dell and Alex both and has every intention of acquiring them both but he underestimates Dell's powers and inadvertently reveals a secret that nobody saw coming. Dell and Alex fight their feelings for each other but they soon have to acknowledge that they're too intertwined to fight them forever. Pretending to be engaged is wearing on them both. For Alex however, feeling such sexual desire is more than frustrating because of a protection spell placed on her. She's unable to have sex and she's willing to do whatever she needs to in order to finally find the release she needs. Dell may not have thought he'd be taking up his father's fight but the revelation of a consort held hostage, Alex's plight, and a master sorcerer's evil nature all culminate to force him into fighting for what he believes. Will anyone survive the fallout? Samantha Sommersby's FORBIDDEN series has completely kept me enthralled through each new addition. THE REVOLUTION has won a special place in my heart though because of the heroine. Alex is such a `kick-butt-and-take-names-later' character that she's a pleasure to imagine. At the same time she's exceedingly vulnerable because of her desire to experience physical intimacy - something she's so far been unable to do despite herself. Dell is no slouch either. He fights for what he believes in and hopes for the best while knowing that the cost for each battle could be more than he truly wa
