Unexpectedly captivating!

A friend lent me this book, and although I had never heard of it and usually read a different genre (sci-fi, fantasy, dystopian), I couldn’t put it down. It’s a thriller/mystery that captivated me with every chapter. The story features a female lead who is a detective. While it has adult themes, there are no explicit scenes, which I appreciate.
